Detectives investigating aggravated assault with multiple victims
INDIANAPOLIS – On Sunday April 6, 2015, at 9:25 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Wildflower Court on the report of multiple persons shot. When officers arrived, they located five victims inside the residence. Two adult females were transported to Methodist Hospital in serious condition. Three children were transported to Riley Hospital in serious condition.
Detectives were told that 3 suspects entered the apartment and fired multiple shots. The suspects then fled the apartment complex in a silver or white vehicle. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation. Detectives are at the scene speaking with witnesses and canvassing the area for information. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency arrived to help with the processing of the crime scene. The motive for this incident is unknown at this time. However, this does not seem to be a random act of violence, and the detectives believe the parties involved knew each other.
