INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation

LOCATION: 200 block of Balsam Way, Cedar Glen

VICTIM: Salvador Helguera, age 18, of Rim Forest

SUSPECTS: Alonzo Sarellano, age 23, of Cedar Glen


SUMMARY:
On Sunday, March 29, 2015, at approximately 10:25 a.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 200 block of Balsam Way, Cedar Glen, following the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Salvador Helguera, deceased at the location.

Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail were requested and responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.

Through investigation, Alonza Sarellano, was identified as the suspect responsible for the death of Helguera. Sarellano was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC187 Murder.
