On Wednesday March 25, 2015 at approximately 5:00p.m., Newton Police responded to Star Market, located at 1 Boylston St for a report of an Armed Robbery.
According to information obtained, the suspect, described as a thin black male, between 5' 7'' and 5'9", mid to late 20's, with short black hair, a 5 o'clock shadow, and wearing a dark blue baseball cap, with the word BOSTON in white letters, written on the front, dark leather jacket, black hoodie, dark shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers, passed a note at the Customer Service counter demanding money. Words on the note and from the suspect indicated he had a firearm.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect exited the rear of Star Market, and fled on a blue high end mountain bike, heading westbound toward Hammond Street.
