**3rd UPDATE #LASD Homicide Investigating Deputy Involved Shooting, 102nd St/Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, South LA Stn

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Deputy-Involved Shooting, which occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 102nd Street and Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, at approximately 1:15 A.M.

Detectives have identified the Suspect as 28-year-old Victor Daniel Terrazas.  He was a local resident in the area of where the shooting occurred.

The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.

Whenever an Officer-Involved Shooting occurs, involving Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies, and it results in a fatality of a suspect, multiple independent investigations immediately begin at the scene. These include separate investigations by the Offices of the L.A. Co. District Attorney and the L.A. Co. Coroner, in addition to Sheriff's Homicide Bureau and Internal Affairs Bureau.  The Office of the Inspector General is also present.  Once concluded, every aspect of the shooting is reviewed by the Sheriff's Executive Force Review Committee

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Deputy-Involved Shooting, which occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 102nd Street and Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, at approximately 1:15 A.M.

Detectives have learned the victim is identified as 32-year-old Lakeisha Glendora Lynall.  She and the Suspect were involved in a dating relationship for approximately 3 to 4 years.  Both the Victim and the Suspect were residents of the area.

The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Deputy-Involved Shooting, which occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 102nd Street and Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, at approximately 1:15 A.M.

Detectives learned that deputies from the South Los Angeles Sheriff Station, responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the area of 106th Street and Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles.  When deputies arrived, they discovered a female victim lying in the alley suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene on foot on the northwest alley, west of Vermont Avenue.

During the search of the area, deputies encountered the suspect at 102nd Street and Vermont Avenue.  When confronted, the suspect shot several rounds towards them and deputies returned fire fatally hitting the suspect.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shot gun used by the suspect was recovered.

The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are en route to 102nd Street and Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, to investigate the circumstances surrounding a deputy-involved shooting. The shooting occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m.

No deputies were injured. 

The suspect was hit and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A weapon was recovered at the scene.
