HMPD arrests man for attempted Breaking and Entering, and other crimes.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at approximately 9:00am, Hope Mills Police Officers responded to the 3700 block of Cherry Blossom Lane in reference to a subject attempting to forcibly gain entry into the home of his ex-girlfriend. While en-route to the residence, Officers also received information that the suspect was threatening the use of a shotgun and had begun damaging a vehicle located at the victim’s residence. Upon arrival, Officers found that the suspect, Christian Elic Anderson, 21, of the 3300 block of State Street, had left the area just prior to their arrival. After obtaining more information about the incident from the victim, Officers went to Mr. Anderson's residence on State Street in an attempt to locate him. Upon arrival in the area, Officers located Mr. Anderson at his residence and with the assistance of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, took him into custody without incident. Mr. Anderson was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $1500.00 secured bond for the following charges:
