Lucy Babcock is making headlines again. As the founder of her home-based bakery Lucy's Bake Shop, little Lucy is accustomed to having responsibilities far beyond those her age should. Well, she is at it again, this time taking on the daunting task of organizing "Lucy's $10 or 10 First Annual Kid's Charity Concert", to take place at the Topanga Community House at 1pm on Sunday April 19th

The idea came from Lucy's desire to create an event that would "combine all of [her] passions- music, baking, and giving back". The charity concert will showcase local youth bands consisting of kids from elementary through high school. Lucy's own band, The Swaggers, are scheduled to perform as well. Food and drinks will be available at the event, including, you guessed it, delicious treats from Lucy's Bake Shop. With minimal supervisory help from her mom, Lucy has been creating unique cupcakes and other confections from the family kitchen since she was 6 years old and is excited to offer these goods to her community during the concert.

Lucy wants everyone to know that the main objective here is charity and community awareness. A supporter of many local charities including City Hearts: Performing arts for Inner city Youth and Nature of Wildworks: Wildlife Sanctuary, Lucy hopes to raise funds during the concert that she will then donate to charities close to her heart. 

Other entertainment at the concert include a karaoke stage, a photo booth, and a raffle. Admission is $10 or any combination of 10 donation items (ie. soccer ball, paper towel role, coloring books, rabbit food, jar of jelly... you get it). All funds raised will be donated!
