San Jacinto welcomes its newest K9 Kyra! Come meet her Friday at Adlerhorst in Jurupa Valley

On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, San Jacinto Police K-9 Sultan was killed in the line of duty while he and his handler, Deputy Mark Wallace, were searching for a wanted felon. Since the loss of Sultan, the city of San Jacinto has received an overwhelming outpouring of condolences and support from the public.

Dave and Pip Reaver, owners of Adlerhorst International Kennels, generously donated a police service dog to the San Jacinto Police Department.

The city of San Jacinto kindly accepted the donation and welcome the new member of their police department. The city of San Jacinto is proud to announce that Deputy Wallace has begun the basic K-9 handler’s academy with his new partner, “Kyra”.

Kyra is a 23-month-old Dutch Shepherd from the Netherlands. After advancing from the basic K-9 handler’s academy, Deputy Wallace and Kyra will begin patrol together in the city of San Jacinto.

On Friday, March 20, 2015, at 9:00 AM, Deputy Wallace and Kyra, will be available to meet the public and media at Adlerhorst International Kennels, Located at 3951 Vernon Avenue, in the city of Jurupa Valley.
