VICTIMS: Two 21-year old female residents of San Luis Obispo
On March 14, 2015 at approximately 2:21 a.m. the San Luis Obispo Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery in the area of Palm and Toro Streets in San Luis Obispo. Two 21-year old female residents of San Luis Obispo were walking on Palm Street when they were approached by three men wearing dark colored clothing and ski masks. At least one of the suspects was armed with a weapon described as a long rifle or shotgun. The suspects stole personal property belonging to each victim. After the crime the suspects left the area driving a dark colored sedan.
The suspects in this crime are consistent with suspects described in two other armed robberies that occurred on the central coast within a few hours of each other. The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in Santa Maria at approximately 12:22 a.m. The Arroyo Grande Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in Arroyo Grande at approximately 2:45 a.m. Each robbery was reportedly committed by three men wearing ski masks or dark hoodies. The suspect vehicle in the Santa Maria robbery was described as possibly being an older black Honda Civic.
At 4:30 AM Santa Maria Police stopped the suspect vehicle and arrested two juvenile suspects. They were both booked into Juvenile Hall in Santa Barbara County.
