The ECPD recommends that residents register their bicycles online as a precaution in the event of theft. 
The City Council updated the Municipal Code last year. Among the changes was an elimination of the Ordinance that mandated Bicycle Licenses.
The benefit of having a bicycle registered remain but it can be accomplished in different ways now.
The following are two options for doing so. Neither is associated with the ECPD. However, the department does recommend that bike owners choose a way to register their bicycle that suits them.

People can also log their bicycles with photographs, and serial numbers using the ECPD App, available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
