Narrative:
The Camarillo Police Department’s Community Resource Unit is advising the public about a magazine solicitation scam involving the Camarillo Boys and Girls Club.
On 3/10/2015, during the evening hours, magazine solicitors in the Mission Oaks area claimed they were soliciting funds for the Camarillo Boys and Girls Club. This is a scam as the Camarillo Boys and Girls Club does not solicit door to door. If you are solicited from someone representing themselves as being associated with the Camarillo Boys and Girls Club, please report this activity to the Camarillo Police Department, by calling Sheriff’s Dispatch @ 654-9511.
