Michael Freeland, a self-employed Music Instructor from Redlands, arrested for Possession of Child Pornography.

SUSPECT: Michael Freeland, 52 years old, resident of Redlands
SUMMARY:
On September 26, 2013, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 7000 block of Bobcat Lane in the city of Highland in regards to suspected child pornography stored on electronic devices. The reporting party provided multiple electronic devices that she believed contained child pornography to the detectives. Detectives from the Crimes Against Children Detail conducted an investigation and discovered that the owner of the electronic devices was Michael Freeland, a 52 year old male resident of Redlands.
The sheriff’s Hi-Tech Detail discovered images of child pornography on Freeland’s electronic devices. On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, detectives interviewed Freeland at Sheriff’s Headquarters. Following the interview, Freeland was booked at the Central Detention Center for Possession of Child Pornography, with bail set at $25,000. He posted bail and was released from custody on March 4, 2015 at 4:25 p.m. An arraignment date has not been scheduled.
Freeland is self-employed as a music instructor in the city of Redlands.
