**3rd UPDATE**

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are reporting that at approximately 8:30 p.m. this evening, suspect Johnny Goins was detained by Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies at a local mall in Moreno Valley.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies have responded to the Riverside County Sheriff’s station and taken custody of suspect Going.

He has been arrested and is currently being booked for murder.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a woman in the 5100 block of Rosemead Boulevard, San Gabriel.

Detectives have learned the identity of the suspect.  The suspect, Johnny Goins, male Black, 31 years of age, is the brother of the victim.  He is still outstanding at this time.

Detectives are actively pursuing the suspect, and encouraging him to turn himself in.

The investigation is still on-going.

There is no further information available at this time.

Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a woman in the 5100 block of Rosemead Boulevard, San Gabriel.

Detectives have learned on Thursday, March 5^th, 2015 at approximately 6:40 a.m. Temple Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon/shots fired call. When deputies arrived at the location they found a female Black adult inside an apartment, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 13-year-old boy, believed to be the victim’s son, was also found at the scene suffering from non-life threating/minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be released from hospital later on today.   

The incident appears to have stemmed from a family dispute.

The investigation is still on-going.
