Advisory

Incoming Storm Considerations

The approaching winter storm has our attention. A Winter Storm Warning will go into effect at 9 pm. According to the National Weather Service, residents should expect major travel impacts Wednesday night, Thursday, and possibly into Friday. Residents should have a plan in place to not travel when conditions become hazardous.

At the present time, it appears that the changeover to a wintry precipitation will begin this evening between 8pm and 9pm; however, this is only an estimate, and will vary based on elevation. Roadways will become hazardous shortly after the changeover. Temperatures will continue to drop, and precipitation will change from freezing rain, to sleet, and then snow overnight.

Follow reliable weather sources, especially local TV meteorologists throughout the duration of this storm.
