Narrative:

On February 27, 2015 at 12:00 PM, detectives from the Camarillo Investigations Bureau arrested Ethan Gross for possession of stolen property, identity theft and several drug related offenses at a local motel in Camarillo.

Between February 12 and 13, 2015, a suspect stole mail from the victim’s mailbox in the 100 block of Granada Street, in the city of Camarillo.

On February 20, 2015, a suspect stole a UPS package, containing a vehicle part, from the front porch of a residence located in the 1600 block of Jose Avenue, in the city of Camarillo.

Camarillo detectives investigated these cases and learned that the distinctive vehicle part was being advertised for sale on Craigslist. Detectives were able to identify the seller of the part was Ethan Gross. They learned Gross was on local probation for narcotics, burglary and other theft related offences.

On February 27, 2015, detectives conducted a probation search at Gross’ residence and recovered the stolen vehicle part. Detectives later located Gross at a local motel in Camarillo, and conducted a search of the room. There they located drugs, drug paraphernalia, mail and checks from the mail theft on Granada Street.

Gross was arrested for possession of stolen property, identity theft, possession of narcotics, under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gross was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in lieu of $80,000.00 bail.
