February 27th

Auto burglary – 300 block of Behrens St.
Between 2/26/15 at 1230 hours and 2/27/15 at 0130 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the rear passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle and stole a backpack containing a laptop computer

Auto burglary – 7100 block of B St.
Between 2/26/15 at 1300 hours and 2/27/15 at 0700 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the rear driver's side window of the victim’s vehicle and rummaged the interior.

Recovered stolen vehicle – Belmont Ave. / Central Ave.
At 1514 hours, an officer located a 1990 Honda Accord reported stolen to San Francisco PD on 2/25/15.

Vehicle theft – Belmont Ave. / Central Ave.
Between 0600 hours and 1630 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s F-250.

Residential burglary – 1300 block of Scott St.
Between 1730 hours and 1950 hours, an unknown suspect entered the resident via a rear door and stole two laptop computers.

Non-Injury Collision 500 block of Richmond St.
At 2347 hours, an officer responded to the report of a vehicle versus a parked car collision. An 18-year-old driver who admitted to texting rear ended a parked Ford Ranger and launched it into an adjacent yard.

February 28th

Psychiatric evaluation – 500 block of Oak St.
Officers were dispatched to the area for someone yelling in their backyard. Officers contacted a 35-year-old El Cerrito man who suffers from bi-polar disorder. The man was confrontational with officers, challenging them to fight and making incoherent statements. The man was transported the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Auto burglary – 5700 block of Lassen St.
Between 2/27/15 at 2230 hours and 2/28/15 at 0630 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the victim’s rear passenger window and stole a gym bag containing a purse and sporting equipment.

Vehicle theft – Walgreen’s, 11565 San Pablo Ave.
Between 1320 and 1340 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1995 Infiniti J30 while the victim was shopping in the store.

Residential burglary – 7500 block of Leviston Ave.
Between 2/26/15 at 1200 hours and 2/28/15 at 1300 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence and stole a laptop computer.



Auto burglary – 5500 block of Central Ave.
Between 0430 hours and 1030 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the rear driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle and stole a purse.

Commercial Burglary: 410 EC Plaza – Verizon:
At 1934 hours, Officers were dispatched to the report of two suspicious subjects in Verizon. Officers set a perimeter around the store. The two subjects, a 23 year old Antioch woman and a 24 year old Antioch woman abruptly fled the store, carrying I-Pads worth more than $1100. One of the women had cut the I-Pad’s security cord with a pair of pliers. Both women fled to a nearby parked vehicle where they were taken into custody. The 24 year old woman had three warrants for her arrest. Both woman were booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez.

Residential burglary – 700 block of Norvell St.
Between 1600 hours and 2200 hours, an unknown suspect entered the unlocked door of a residence and stole electronics.

Petty Theft – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave.
At 2326 hours, an unknown suspect entered the store and stole two bottles of vodka. The suspect then fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, 60 years old, 6’00”, 250 lbs, black jacket, blue cap, and white shoes.

Psychiatric evaluation – Nation’s, 6060 Central Ave.
At 2347 hours, an officer noticed a 61-year-old El Cerrito woman crying in the parking lot. The woman was despondent about a pending move out of the area and threatened to commit suicide. The woman was transported to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Her husband was provided with mental health resources.

Warrant arrest – 5001 Cutting Blvd.
At 0116 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 29-year-old Vallejo man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

March 1st

Residential burglary – 7300 block of Waldo Ln.
Between 1530 hours and 2000 hours, an unknown suspect pried open a rear window of the victim’s residence and stole jewelry and electronics.

Possession of a controlled substance, Under the influence of a controlled substance – San Pablo Ave. / Santa Cruz Ave.
At 0048 hours, an officer conducted a bicycle enforcement stop and arrested a 29-year-old Richmond man for being under the influence of a stimulant. A subsequent search produced a baggie of methamphetamine. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

March 2nd

Resisting arrest – Ashbury Ave. / Hotchkiss Ave.
At 1207 hours, an officer attempted to stop a 16-year-old Berkeley juvenile in violation of daytime curfew. The juvenile instead walked away from the officer. When the officer attempted to grab the juvenile, the juvenile took a fighting stance then fled on food. Additional officers arrived and placed the juvenile under arrest. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to his mother.

Warrant arrest – Carlson Blvd. / San Jose Ave.
At 1320 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 34-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential burglary – 1500 block of Norvell Ave.
Between 2/23/15 at 1200 hours and 3/1/15 at 1100 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence by breaking a window. Once inside, the suspect stole electronics.

Vandalism – 1300 block of Everett St:
At 2024 hours, an officer responded to the report of an unidentified suspect shooting a pellet gun through the front window of a residence. The suspect, only described as wearing tan or gray clothing, fled on foot.

Battery – 1600 block of Roger Court:
At 2224 hours, an officer responded to the report of a battery. A process server was attempting to serve a woman with court paperwork. The woman became mad and swung a garden stake at the process server and missed. She then threw the stake at him and struck him in the leg.
