This Week's #LASD Palmdale's Most Wanted
Palmdale Sheriff's Station Detectives are asking for the public to help identify two suspects involved in identity theft.
We ran the story of this first suspect a few weeks ago, but have not yet been able to identify her. The suspect has opened several credit cards in other people’s names and made numerous purchases with those cards. The suspect is described as a female White or Hispanic in her late 20’s to early 30’s. She has brown hair and a thin build. The woman was seen leaving one of the stores in a silver or gray Chrysler 300 with black rims.
Anyone with information on the identity or location of this suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Diez of the Palmdale Station at 661-272-2546.
We are also looking to identify a person of interest in another case of identity theft. Many unauthorized charges were made using recently stolen credit cards. Video surveillance shows a male Black was possibly involved in at least two of the unauthorized purchases.
Anyone with information on the identity or location of this person is encouraged to contact Detective Luter of the Palmdale Station at 661-272-2472.
Identity theft can be devastating to victims. The suspects can wipe out bank accounts and destroy credit ratings before the crime is even discovered. Please monitor your bank statements and credit reports on a regular basis. Contact your financial institution immediately if you see any suspicious charges or credit activity.
The Federal, Fair Credit Reporting Act entitles you to a free copy of your credit report from each of the three credit reporting companies every 12 months. Please take advantage of this.
