**UPDATE**

Sergeant Cochran, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau, reports the name of the of the barricaded suspect  in this incident is David Carrillo, M/age 28.  

The suspect is in custody with an one million dollar bail. There is no booking photo available a this time.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

**UPDATE**

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel from Special Enforcement Bureau and Major Crimes have successfully apprehended the barricaded suspect on the 800 block of Ocean Park Boulevard, Santa Monica.

For several hours, there were numerous attempts to have the suspect exit the location peacefully. The suspect, however refused to comply and remained inside the location.

The situation concluded after tear gas was deployed into the location.  As the suspect began to exit the location, he attempted to return back inside when the Special Enforcement Bureau K-9 was deployed.  The K-9 was able to control and bring the suspect to awaiting deputy personnel with no further incident.

The suspect was treated on scene for his injuries. 

The suspect, male Hispanic Adult, was wanted on a murder investigation that occurred at the 8000 block of Vermont Avenue, unincorporated City of Los Angeles, approximately 4:10 PM, on February 10, 2015.  

The investigation is active and ongoing.

On February 21^th, 2015 at approximately 12:32 p.m. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau, Special Weapons Team, is on their way to the 800 block of Ocean Park Blvd, Santa Monica, to assist Major Crimes Bureau personnel with a barricaded suspect.
