Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Temple Station deputies, along with personnel assigned to the LA County Fire Department, responded to the 4200 block of Walnut Grove Avenue, Rosemead on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at approximately 4:00p.m. regarding a structure fire call.

One victim arrived at a local hospital, suffering from burns.

Deputies, along with fire personnel, found a building on the property that appeared to have suffered an explosion and was on fire. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and saw what appeared to be an explosive device.

Detectives from Arson Explosives Detail responded and determined there were no explosive devices. A possible “Honey Oil” marijuana extraction laboratory was discovered at the location.

Detectives from the Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force (LA IMPACT), Clandestine Laboratory Team responded and assumed control of the investigation. LA IMPACT is processing the scene and collecting evidence.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available for release at this time.
