Advisory

Winter Storm Warning - Friday night into Saturday

Our friends at the National Weather Service have issued a Winter Storm Warning that is in effect from 7pm this evening until 7pm Saturday. Dangerously cold wind chills also remain this morning. Other weather sources indicate that the snow will start around midnight tonight and bring a quick 3-5 inches of snow to the area. Ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch are also possible. Snow will mix with rain later in the evening and change over to rain during the day on Saturday.

Hazardous travel conditions are expected due to reduced visibilities and snow/ice accumulations. Frigid conditions will be dangerous to those venturing outside and exposure may cause frostbite.

Before any of you begin any late night festivities, you may want to move your car off snow routes in the City. Snow routes are marked by red, white, and blue signs. And if you are venturing out please dress warmly and cover all exposed skin. We would like to avoid towing your car or giving you a ride to the hospital.
