Armed Robbers Accused of Stealing Watches from Jewelry Store

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that Investigators are releasing surveillance pictures in connection with a jewelry store armed robbery.

Two suspects entered the store at 1500 Main Street shortly before 11:00 o’clock this morning.

Several employees were inside at the time, but were not physically injured.

One of the robbers stole several expensive watches from a jewelry case, while the other threatened employees with a gun before leaving the store.

The suspected getaway car is a dark-colored, older model 4-door Oldsmobile with tinted windows.

Investigators believe there was at least one other person inside the car at the time of the crime.
