January 30TH
Warrant Arrest – Key Blvd. / Humboldt Ave.:
At 1313 hours, an officer arrested a 48 year old Richmond man on an outstanding warrant. He was booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Detention Facility in Martinez.
Grand Theft – 4010 E.C. Plaza: At 1412 hours, officers responded to the report of two suspects stealing electronic equipment from the AT&T store. They fled on foot and entered an awaiting vehicle.
Shoplifting – 11450 San Pablo Ave. (Safeway) At 1520 hours, an officer responded to the report of a woman shoplifting. A 53 year old woman from Richmond was placed under citizen’s arrest. She was booked and released on a citation.
Burglary (Residential) – 5700 block of Barrett Ave. At 1448 hours, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. An unidentified suspect entered a residence and stole a computer and check book. The burglary occurred between 0720 hours and 1445 hours.
Warrant Arrest – Probation Violation: 11565 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1918 hours, an officer contacted a 27 year old San Pablo man who was wanted by the Contra Costa County Superior Court. The man had several knives and was also in possession of pepper spray. He was booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Detention Facility in Martinez.
Terrorist Threats - Dylans Way:
At 2034 hours, an officer responded to the report of a dispute between housemates. A 54 year old man was placed under citizen’s arrest by the reporting party after allegedly making threats to harm the reporting party.
Theft – Parole Violation – 6050 EC Plaza:
At 2201 hours, an officer spotted a parolee with a penchant for shoplifting exiting Barnes and Noble. A search of the subject revealed stolen merchandise from the store. He was booked and transported to the Detention Facility in Martinez.
January 31st
Warrant Arrest / Methamphetamine Possession and Assault on an Officer: San Pablo Avenue / Madison Avenue: At 0324 hours, an officer contacted a suspicious person. The man, 29 year old Solano County resident had eight outstanding warrant. He also had methamphetamines in his pocket. He also had a razor blade in his belt buckle, face up which when the officer searched the man injured the officer. The man was booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Detention Facility in Martinez.
Controlled Substance Possession – Blake Ave/San Pablo Ave: At 1425 hours, an officer contacted a bicyclist. The bicyclist, a 48 year old male from Richmond was found in possession of controlled substances. The subject was booked and released pending analysis of the controlled substance at the Crime Lab.
Drug Paraphernalia - 11319 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1923 hours, an officer contacted a bicyclist. The bicyclist, a 26 year old Richmond man was determined to be on probation. He was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Grand Theft 11565 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1924 hours, an officer responded to the report of a suspect stealing over $2000 in cosmetics from Walgreens. The suspect fled in a silver vehicle.
Warrant Arrest 11565 San Pablo Avenue: At 2001 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 35 year old Oakland woman on a misdemeanor warrant. She was booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez.
Traffic Pursuit, Stolen Motorcycle: Carlson Blvd / El Dorado Avenue:
At 2327 hours, an officer observed a speeding motorcycle. An officer attempted to stop the motorcycle and the rider fled, leading the officer on a short pursuit. The rider abandoned the motorcycle in the 6000 block of Wenk Avenue and fled on foot. He was taken into custody a short distance later. The motorcycle was reported as stolen to the Richmond Police Department. The rider, a 50 year old Richmond resident was booked and transported to the Detention Facility in Martinez.
Warrant Arrest 8000 EC Plaza:
At 0120 hours, an officer contacted a suspicious person at the EC Plaza and arrested a 45 year old San Pablo resident on an outstanding Merced County warrant. He was booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Detention Facility in Martinez.
Driving under the Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage: Carlson Blvd. / El Dorado Av:
At 0154 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the a 42 year old Richmond woman for driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. She was booked and cite released to a friend.
February 1st
Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 5900 block of San Diego St.
At 1433 hours, an officer located a stolen Toyota Corolla.
Stolen Property – Warrant Arrest - 824 Park Way:
At 1924 hours, officers responded to the report of stolen property being stored at a residence. The property was recovered and a 38 year old El Cerrito woman was arrested on a Contra Costa County controlled substance possession warrant. She was booked and transported to the Contra Costa County Detention Facility in Martinez.
Warrant Arrest - BART Path / Schmidt Lane:
At 2110 hours, an officer arrested a 49 year old Berkeley woman on a Solano County warrant during a suspicious person contact. She was booked and cite released.
15-2213 23152a CVC / 14602.1 CVC San Pablo Avenue/ Nevin Avenue:
At 2217 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop. He arrested a 33 year old woman for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. She was booked and released to a sober friend.
February 2nd
Warrant Arrest – 10900 San Pablo Ave.
At 1032 hours, an 33 year old Richmond man came to the Police Department to retrieve property only to find he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was booked and transported to the Detention Facility in Martinez.
Corporal Injury to a Child – San Pablo Ave. / Eastshore Blvd.
At 1511 hours, Officers were dispatched to the report of a woman striking a toddler in a stroller. Officers arrived and located the woman and numerous witnesses came forward. The toddler was found to have injuries. The suspect a 27 year old San Leandro woman was found to also be under the influence of a controlled substance. The woman was arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Detention Facilit. The toddler was placed into protective custody with Child Protective Services.
Auto Burglary 9800 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 1817 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. An unknown suspect broke the window of a vehicle and stole a MacBook and backpack. The burglary occurred in between 1810 and 1815 hours.
Auto Theft - 6600 block of Gatto Avenue: At 2313 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto theft. The victim’s Honda Civic was stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in East Richmond Heights.
Auto Burglary 6601 Gatto Avenue: At 2255 hours, an officer located a vehicle with a broken window. The unidentified suspect pried open the steering column and stole cash from the vehicle. The burglary occurred in between 2110 and 2255 hours.
