ORAL COPULATION WITH CHILD

SUSPECT(S): Thomas Cook, 01/20/1993, of Victorville


SUMMARY:

On February 6, 2015 at approximately 11:56 am a report of an inappropriate relationship was reported to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station. Deputy Brian Ogas of the Hesperia Station was dispatched to speak with the reporting party.

Deputy Ogas conducted an investigation and learned that Thomas Cook was having a relationship with a 13 year-old victim. On February 7, 2015 at approximately 9:34 am Deputy Ogas was able to locate the suspect in the case. Cook was subsequently booked at the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu $350,000 bail.

Thomas Cook is a dance instructor at Dance Dynamics in the 16000 block of Smoke Tree in the City of Hesperia. Cook also teaches at a studio in Upland, CA and travels regularly to dance competitions and conventions. Cook makes regular trips to New York and Las Vegas. Investigators feel there may be additional victims and urge anyone with any information or who may have been a victim to contact local law enforcement or Hesperia Sheriff’s Station at (760) 947-1500.
