Stolen Specialized bikes worth $44,000- Recovered. Two suspects arrested.
On 02/02/2015, at approximately 0619 hours, Morgan Hill Police Officer's were dispatched to Specialized Bicycle Components, located at 15130 Concord Circle, to investigate the report of a prior burglary. Upon arrival, Officer's determined an unknown suspect forced entry through the main entrance/exit doors of the business. The suspect entered the business and stole two S-Works McLaren bicycles, valued at approximately $44,000.00. The suspect placed the bicycles in the rear cargo area of what is believed to be a Honda CRV or similar type vehicle and fled the scene.
On 02/03/2015, Morgan Hill Police Detective's received information that a Morgan Hill resident was attempting to sell the two Specialized bicycles and quickly enacted a plan to meet with the suspect. At approximately 2244 hours, the Detectives met with the suspect, who identified herself as Kannadi Ridenour, 26, of Morgan Hill. After a brief conversation, Ridenour admitted the stolen bicycles were at her residence. A short time later, the Detectives arrived at her residence and contacted Ryan Balestrini, 34, who was standing on the front porch. A records check revealed Balestrini had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. During a search of the residence, both stolen bicycles were located concealed in a bedroom.
Ridenour was arrested for felony possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine. Balestrini was arrested for felony possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, warrants and violation of probation.
