SUBJECT: Traffic Stop Results in Arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance for Sales/ ACPD Case # 15-0102

On 01/28/2015 at approximately 10:30 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop of a Chevrolet pickup for expired registration on Bret Harte Road near Booster Way.
The officer made contact with the three occupants of the vehicle and identified the driver as 62 year old Murphys resident, Robert Reeves. While speaking to Reeves, the officer observed a glass jar of marijuana in the vehicle in plain sight. A consequent search of Reeves, the passengers, and the vehicle were conducted.
The officer located 18.2 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, zip lock baggies, two spoons, and a methamphetamine smoking pipe in Reeves possession. The other two passengers were released at scene.
Reeves was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for the following charges:
11378 HS – Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales
11379(a) HS- Transportation of a Controlled Substance
11364 HS – Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia
