ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION

1) Attempted Child Abduction (01/29/15 at approximately 0700-0720 hours in Zone 3) The Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit is asking for the assistance of the public in helping them to identify a male, who attempted to abduct a female juvenile early this morning in Marietta, Georgia.

According to investigators, this morning between 0700 hours and 0720 hours, a female juvenile was walking her dog (prior to going to school) northbound on Darnell Road near Barber Road. According to the victim, a white (newer model single cab) truck drove by her on Darnell Road and stopped near Barber Road. As she and her dog were walking by the truck, the male driver got out and grabbed her by the wrist. As he did, the victim’s dog bit at his ankle causing him to release her. It was at that moment that the victim was able to get away from him. The victim told investigators that the truck (which had scratches on the right side and rear) then drove northbound on Darnell Road.

SUSPECT: Black male, 5’10” tall described as being middle aged. He had a medium (to average) build and was last seen wearing a royal blue “hoodie” and a dark-colored ball cap (with some type of green symbol on it).

Attention Media: Please see the attached B.O.L.O. (and composite picture as prepared by a G.B.I. forensics sketch artist).
