Armed Robbery Suspect Wanted in Several Crimes

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that CPD Investigators are searching for an armed robber, wanted in connection with several crimes in the City and other jurisdictions.

In the City of Columbia, the man is accused of committing armed robberies or attempted armed robberies at multiple businesses including fast food restaurants, drug stores, and a dry cleaning business in the past several months.

The most recent crime in the City occurred on the night of January 15, 2015 at the Fed Ex shipping store located at 146 Harbison Boulevard.

The female clerk tells CPD that the robber presented a gun and demanded money from the register. He then left the store with the money he stole.

In some of the other crimes, the same robber either indicated or gestured that he was armed in an attempt to steal money. No one was injured during the incidents.

It is believed that the same suspect is wanted in similar crimes in Richland County and Cayce.
CPD continues to work with the law enforcement partners in those jurisdictions. In fact, the SLED sketch of the possible suspect stems from a crime in Cayce.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you have information about the investigations, or recognize the man in surveillance pictures, Chief Holbrook encourages citizens to call, text or submit online, their anonymous tip to Crimestoppers in any of the following ways:
