Saddle River Borough Update - Closings and information @

Saddle River Borough Update.

• Borough offices will be closed tomorrow Tuesday, January 27th.
• There will be no garbage collection Tuesday. Normal garbage collection is expected to resume on Thursday and Friday.
• Recycling pickup on Wednesday will proceed weather permitting.
• The Environmental Commission meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.
• The Special Election originally scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed until February. Date to be announced.

Stay OFF the roads so state, county, and municipal workers can clear the roads as fast as possible. ALL nonessential travel should be avoided until the roads are clear.

If you loose power notify your power provider.

Remember, no power line is safe to touch. Even cable TV and phone lines can become energized when the grid gets compromised.


All vehicles MUST be removed from ANY roadway. If your vehicle becomes disabled or stuck in the snow, call the police desk to have it removed by a police tow. All abandoned vehicles will be towed to impound.

Do NOT deposit snow in the roadway. The Borough Ordnance states:
It shall be illegal for any owner of property, employee, agent, contractor or other person at any time, to throw or plow snow or ice on the traveled portion of any roadway within the Borough after it has been plowed by the Borough's snow removal equipment. The person so responsible shall be issued a summons. Any person convicted of a violation of the provisions of this subsection or any supplement thereto shall be fined the sum of $100 by the Municipal Judge. 191-19c
