Police Blotter Jan 12 - 15

January 12TH

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Ave. at Central Ave:
At 1330 hours, an officer arrested a 34 year-old man from Hercules on a parolee-at-large warrant and a probation violation warrant during a suspicious person contact. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Domestic Battery- 1100 Block of Ivy Court:
At 1629 hours, a 51 year-old El Cerrito man struck his girlfriend during an argument. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. The female had minor injuries and was released from the scene upon the conclusion of the investigation.

Stolen Vehicle Pursuit- Knott Avenue and Junction Avenue
At 1953 hours, an officer noticed a suspicious parked vehicle and ran the license plate for the registration information. The 1994 Geo Prizm was reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department three days earlier. The vehicle drove away and led the officer on a vehicle pursuit through Richmond and into San Pablo. San Pablo PD officers assisted in the pursuit which concluded in the 2600 block of Wilart Drive when the Geo ran out of gas. The driver, a 39 year old man from San Pablo, fled on foot from the stolen vehicle however he was quickly apprehended by the El Cerrito officer and taken into custody. The passenger, a 20 year old female from Richmond, was also arrested at the scene. The officer booked both suspects at the El Cerrito Police Department and then transported them to the county jail in Martinez.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle- 11450 San Pablo Avenue
At 2147 hours, a patrol Corporal received a LoJack signal for a 2003 Buick reported stolen to Hayward PD the day before. Officers searched the area for stolen car and the patrol Sergeant located the car in the parking lot of Safeway. A 26 year old man from Oakland who was in side of the parked vehicle was taken into custody. An officer booked the man at the El Cerrito Police Department and then transported him to the county jail in Martinez.

January 13th

Vehicle Theft- 800 Block of Shevlin Dr:
On 01/13, between 0000 hours and 1700 hours an unknown suspect stole a 1997 Honda Accord.

Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Stolen Property and Outstanding Warrant: 8000 El Cerrito Plaza, Macaroni Grill
At 1644 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department on 01/12. Officers arrested the driver, a 28 year-old woman from San Anselmo and the passenger, a 23 year-old female from Albany. The two females were additionally booked for being in possession of stolen property and possession of controlled substances. During booking it was also discovered that the driver had four outstanding warrants for her arrest. Both subjects were booked and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

January 14TH

Warrant Arrest- 3400 Block of Belmont Ave:
At 0936 hours, officers arrested a 52 year-old transient male on an outstanding probation violation warrant. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Grand Theft- 4050 El Cerrito Plaza, European Massage
On 01/14, management from the European Waxing came to the ECPD to report one of their employees had been stealing cash from the register and night deposits. Shortly after the incident was reported, officers went to the business and arrested the employee, a 30 year-old female from Pittsburg. The female was booked at the ECPD and then posted bail.

January 15th

Vehicle Theft- 5800 Block of Avila Ave:
An unknown suspect stole a 1994 Honda Accord between 01/14 at 2200 hours and 01/15 at 1300 hours.

Vehicle Theft- 1700 block of Lexington Avenue
At 2159 hours an officer was flagged down to the rear of the police department regarding a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown suspect had stolen their 2000 Mazda Protégé sometime between 1055 and 2130 hours that day.
