Police Blotter Jan 6th - 8th

January 6TH

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Liberty St. at Hill St:
At 0820 hours, officers were hailed about a suspicious looking into parked vehicles. Officers located the subject and discovered he was in possession of glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.

Vehicle Tampering- 2000 Block of Key Blvd:
Between 2000 hours on 01/05 and 0730 hours on 01/06, an unknown suspect forced entry into a Ford Mustang. Once inside of the vehicle the suspect pried the ignition column but was unable to steal the vehicle.

January 7TH

Possession of a Controlled Substance/ Paraphernalia- 10860 San Pablo Ave:
At 0925 hours, officers arrested a 38 year-old San Rafael man for being in possession and drug paraphernalia during a pedestrian contact. The man was booked at the ECPD and released with a citation.

Vehicle Theft- 1100 Block of Navellier St:
An unknown suspect stole a 2006 Toyota Rav4 at 1216 hours on 01/07.

Burglary- 5900 Block of Fern St:
On 01/07 between 0700 and 1800 hours an unknown suspect forced entry into a residence, ransacked the interior but did not take any property.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle- Navellier St. at Portola Dr:
At 2208 hours, an officer recovered a 1996 Honda Accord which was reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department earlier in the day.

January 8TH

Warrant Arrest- Stockton Ave. at the BART Path:
At 1154 hours, an officer arrested a 37 year-old transient male on an outstanding probation violation warrant. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Possession of a Controlled Substance- San Pablo Ave. at Madison Ave:
At 1403 hours, an officer arrested a 53 year-old female from San Pablo for being possession of methamphetamine and heroin during a traffic enforcement stop. The female was booked and cited.

Burglary/Shoplifting- 11450 San Pablo Ave., Safeway
At 1605 hours, officers located a 57 year-old homeless man who walked out of Safeway for stealing a can of beer. The subject was located at the Del Norte shopping center several minutes after the incident. The man was released with a citation.

Residential Burglary- 500 block of Albermarle Street
At 1857 hours, an officer responded to a report of a residential burglary. The victim returned home to find that an unknown suspect broke the rear door to gain entry into the home and conduct a ransack. The burglary occurred sometime between 0700 hours and 1700 hours.

Theft from Vehicle- 600 Block of Norvell Street
At 2034 hours, an officer responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported leaving the car door unlocked and an unknown suspect stole $7.50 worth of quarters. The theft occurred sometime between 0400 hours and 0800 hours that morning but was not reported to the police until later that evening when the victim returned home from work.

Vehicle Tampering- 1500 block of South 56th Street
At 2045 hours, an officer responded to a report of an auto burglary. The victim returned to their car to find the steering column and ignition had been pried apart but the thief was unable to start the 1999 Honda Accord. The crime occurred sometime between 1700 hours the night before and 2030 hours today.
