--Residents should make arrangements to remove parked vehicles from the roadway during this time. This will assist snow plowing efforts and facilitate the response of emergency vehicles.

...A MAJOR WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT OUR AREA MONDAY INTO TUESDAY... .LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK FROM THE OHIO VALLEY TO THE MID ATLANTIC TONIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING BRINGING MAINLY SOME LIGHT SNOW TO MUCH OF THE REGION. THIS STORM WILL THEN RAPIDLY INTENSIFY INTO A NOR`EASTER LATE MONDAY. THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH THE DETAILS, MAINLY FOR THE WESTERN AND SOUTHWESTERN AREAS OF OUR REGION. THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO RESULT IN DETERIORATING CONDITIONS AS WE GO THROUGH MONDAY INTO TUESDAY, WITH WIDESPREAD TRAVEL IMPACTS EXPECTED. ...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON MONDAY TO 6 PM EST TUESDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD WARNING, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MONDAY TO 6 PM EST TUESDAY. THE BLIZZARD WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS CAUSING CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...18 TO 28 INCHES, WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* TIMING...SNOW BEGINS AROUND DAYBREAK MONDAY WITH SOME IMPACT TO THE MORNING COMMUTE, THEN IS EXPECTED TO BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON INTO TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE TAPERING OFF DURING TUESDAY AFTERNOON. THE BRUNT OF THE STORM LOOKS TO OCCUR MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON, WHERE SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 4 INCHES PER HOUR ARE ANTICIPATED.

* IMPACTS...EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRAVEL DUE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS, RESULTING IN WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. SECONDARY AND TERTIARY ROADS MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE. STRONG WINDS MAY DOWN POWER LINES AND TREE LIMBS.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH MONDAY, THEN BECOMING NORTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS 40 TO 50 MPH MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY WITH THE HIGHEST GUSTS CLOSER TO THE COAST.

* TEMPERATURES...AROUND 30 DEGREES MONDAY, THEN DROPPING INTO THE MID 20S MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COASTAL OCEAN ... EASTERN MONMOUTH ... MIDDLESEX ... OCEAN ... WESTERN MONMOUTH
