Winter Weather Advisory in effect from Midnight Tonight to 6 PM Saturday

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR A MIXTURE OF SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM SATURDAY.

*Locations – Portions of North East New Jersey

*Hazard Types – Snow and Ice

*Accumulations – Snow Accumulation of 3 to 5 inches with up to a Tenth of an inch of Ice

*Timing – Snow Begins Early Saturday Morning. The Heaviest Snow likely Mixed with Sleet and Freezing Rain will be Saturday Morning Through Saturday Afternoon. Snow Tapers Off in the Evening

*Impacts – Hazardous Travel Conditions Due to Reduced Visibility and Snow/Ice Covered Roads

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW, SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES. USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
