The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Bergen County from midnight through 6:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2015.
Current predictions call for snow to begin after Midnight with accumulations overnight in the 1-3 inch range. The snow is expected to transition to a wintry mix of rain, snow, and freezing rain Saturday (01/24) morning. The wintry mix will be heaviest Saturday morning through the afternoon. Additional daytime snow accumulations are predicted to be in the 1-2 inch range with some icing.
Total snowfall amounts may be in the 3-5 inch range by the time this system departs our area Saturday night.
Temperatures today will be near 37 ̊ with the wind chill values between 25-30 degrees with SW winds in the 5-7 mph range. Tonight will bring a SW wind near 5 mph and temperatures in the upper 20's.
Saturday will be near 34̊ with wind chill values between 25-30 degrees during the day. Saturday night will be in the Mid 20's with wind chill values between 20 - 25 degrees with a west wind in the 7-13 mph range.
The mix of ice and snow may make for hazardous road conditions Saturday. Please stay off the roads if possible.
The Borough’s snow removal trucks will plow each street curb to curb during this snowfall. Please make every effort to remove cars parked in the roadway during the storm and until the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic.

Residents are also reminded that a Borough Ordinance prohibits the shoveling, placing, throwing or blowing of snow into or upon any street in Fair Lawn. The Borough would also like to remind residents that for the safety and welfare of our residents, please attempt to clear snow around fire hydrants and crosswalks.
