Traffic Advisory for Vice Presidential Visit
In an effort to assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of the Vice President of the United States, Thursday January 22, 2015, through Saturday January 24, 2015, the following areas of the City should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members:
Thursday, January 22, 2015
-The area around Sherman Way and Vineland Avenue. from 4 pm to 7 p.m.
-The area around North Hollywood Way and Alameda Avenue from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
-The area around Olive Avenue and Hollywood Way from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
-The area around Alameda Avenue and 134 West Freeway 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
-The area around the South 405 Freeway and Santa Monica Boulevard 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
-The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Westwood Boulevard 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
-The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Note: There will be hard street closures at Forest Lawn and North Pass Avenue beginning at 4:00PM and lasting through 8:00PM. Rodeo Drive between Wilshire Boulevard and Charleville Boulevard will be closed beginning on January 22, 2015, NLT 1:00PM through January 24, 2015, NLT 1:00PM.
Due to the street closures the following bus routes may be affected:
MTA bus # 720, #210 and # 222
Riders should contact the MTA for any alternate locations.

-The area around Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
-The area around Santa Monica and the South 405 Freeway from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
-The area around Jefferson Boulevard and the South 405 Freeway from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
-The area around Jefferson Boulevard and Overland Avenue from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
-The area around Overland Drive and freshman Drive from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
-The area around Westwood Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
-The area around Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, January 24, 2015
-The area around Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
-The area around Santa Monica and the North 405 Freeway from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
-The area around Pass Avenue and the 134 Freeway from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
-The area around Verdugo Avenue and Hollywood Way 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
-The area around Hollywood way and Vanowen Street 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
-The area around Vineland and Sherman Way 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
