Arson Investigation: Persons of Interest Sought

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that CPD Investigators are releasing surveillance pictures from a local store to generate tips regarding an arson investigation.

CPD wants to identify and locate three persons of interest who may have information regarding the case.

The arson, which caused an estimated millions of dollars’ worth of damages, occurred in the greeting card aisle at Wal-Mart located at 1326 Bush River Road on December 31, 2014.

Columbia Firefighters evacuated the store as a precaution and contained the fire to the source area. No injuries were reported.

A vehicle that may be connected to the investigation is possibly a white, older model Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon.
