Details:
On 01/14/2015 at 1:44 am, Gilroy Police Officers responded to the 7300 Block of Chestnut Street for a report of a shooting. Officers located one victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the lower body. Medical personnel arrived a short time later to render aid. The victim was transported to an area trauma center with non-life threatening injuries. The victim is expected to survive.
This investigation is ongoing. Preliminary information revealed that the suspects fled the scene in an unknown make and model tan sedan. The motive for this shooting is also not known at this time. Detectives with the Anti-Crime Team have assumed the investigation.
