EMA Community Outreach Program
We would like to introduce the community to the Madison County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency's Community Outreach program. We have created an array of online resources for our citizens to learn about emergency and disaster preparedness, weather, county travel status, what's happening in our agency, as well as, who are the volunteers of EMA. We are very proud of our community outreach program, which reaches the citizens of Madison County by several different venues. In addition to our electronic presence, we also travel Madison County throughout the year attending festivals, conducting speaking engagements, as well as providing instructional programs for scouts, churches, schools and other civic organizations. We are very focused on providing a strong community outreach program to help the citizens of Madison County prepare for Natural, Technological and Man-Made disasters.
As a part of our community outreach program, we have also developed a strong presence on the world wide web as well as on social media. We recognize not everyone is a follower on Facebook or Twitter, so we have created ways to stay up to date from your smart phone, personal computer and even your home phone (emergency notification only). If you are not on social media (facebook and twitter), you can go to our agency website and click on the social media link at the top of the page and this will take you to the EMA Social Media page where you can view our Twitter, Facebook and Nixle feeds directly. You can also find links from our website to our YouTube, Flickr and Nixle accounts as well.
