On 01-13-15, at approximately 4:33 PM, Angels Camp Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a possible drunk driver, driving west on SR 4 from the Arnold area. The caller reported that the driver of a brown Hyundai was all over the road, having difficulty maintaining control of their vehicle within the lane of traffic. By the time the call was received and dispatched, the suspect vehicle arrived in the McDonald's parking lot where Angels Camp PD officers located it. The driver of the vehicle was still in the vehicle and officers began a DUI investigation.
Sherri Ann Berg, a 53-year-old Stockton resident, was subsequently arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on the following charges;
1) 23152(f) of the CA Vehicle Code, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol
2) 11550(a) of the CA Health & Safety Code, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
3) 11377(a) of the CA Health & Safety Code, Possession of Methamphetamine
In addition to methamphetamine that was located inside her vehicle, officers found that Berg was in possession of an open bottle of Vodka that was inside of her purse.
