Commercial Burglary Location: 3000 Block of Lafayette Street
At an unknown time between 1/3/15 and 1/4/15, a burglary occurred at the Public Storage located on 3033 Lafayette St. in Santa Clara. The suspect pried open the roll-up door and stole an assortment of tools. The suspect is unknown and at large.

Residential Burglary Location: 2800 Block of Mesquite Drive
Between 1/2/15 and 01/4/15, an unknown suspect burglarized the residence on the 2800 block of Mesquite Drive. The suspect stole jewelry and cash. The suspect remains unknown and at-large.

Vehicle Theft Location: 2100 Block of The Alameda
An officer was on patrol on The Alameda when a vehicle was spotted with multiple California Vehicle Code violations. A traffic stop was initiated. A Records check on the male driver yielded a suspended driver’s license and active probation. The car being driven was stolen and a search of his person resulted in a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the County jail. The female passenger was in possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and four stolen credit cards. She was arrested and transported to the County jail.

An officer responded to a call of a suspicious person near Claremont Avenue and Mauricia Avenue. The officer made contact with the male driver and noticed a drug paraphernalia in plain view. He was cited at the scene and released.

Petty Theft Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
A female subject concealed items in a bag before exiting the store. The subject was placed under private persons arrest by Macy's Loss Prevention personnel. She was issued a citation and released at the scene.

Grand Theft Location: 4500 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
The window to a victim's vehicle on the 4500 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard was broken and a laptop and iPad were stolen. There were no known suspects.

NOTE: The Traffic Unit saturated El Camino Real near Alpine Avenue with a Pedestrian Crosswalk Operation. In approximately two hours, the Unit issued over 40 citations. Drug Arrest Location: 3500 Block of Granada Avenue
Officers were dispatched to a possible interrupted car clout at Marina Playa Apartments on the 3500 block of Granada Avenue when the reporting party heard a car alarm go off and saw a subject fleeing
from the area. An officer located a male cyclist matching the description of the subject fleeing entering a business at Benton Street and Flora Vista Avenue. A Records check revealed he had four outstanding warrants for his arrest. A search of his person yielded possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Roll Over Injury Collision
Location: Lafayette Street and Bellomy Street
Officers were dispatched to a roll over collision at Lafayette Street and Bellomy Street. The collision involved two vehicles. One of the drivers received minor injuries. A temporary road closure was required to investigate the collision and remove the damaged cars.

Residential Burglary Location: 1400 Block of Don Avenue
A victim arrived to the Police Department lobby to report a burglary on the 1400 block of Don Avenue. The victim left his apartment unlocked while he placed several items near an elevator and gradually
loaded the items into his vehicle while moving. When he returned to his apartment someone had entered the unlocked door and stole several items.
