Identity Theft Seminar - How to avoid becoming a victim of Identity Theft at the Verona Community Center Jan 13th. 
On Tuesday January 13th from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, the Verona Police Department will be presenting "Protecting Yourself in 2015 – How to avoid becoming a victim of Identity Theft, Internet and Telephone Scams” at the Verona Community Center (880 Bloomfield Ave).
Learn about the latest scams that are occurring via the Internet, telephone and through the mail. We will talk about identity theft and its effects on children and the elderly and how you can take steps to protect yourself, as well as what to do if you are a victim of one of these crimes. At the end of the presentation, there will be an open question & answer session.
We've set aside a "rain date" of Tuesday January 20th just in case we have to cancel due to snow or ice.
