NARRATIVE:

Special Victims Bureau detectives continue their investigation into the kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor, which occurred on Friday, January 2, 2015, in the City of West Valinda.

Detectives have released a composite sketch of one of the suspects and a possible vehicle-type used in the crime (attached).

TIME:             Approximately 6:30 PM

LOCATION:  600 Block of Van Wig Avenue, West Valinda

VICTIM:         Female, 15 years old

SUSPECT:    Suspect 1 & 2, Male Hispanics, 20-27 years old

                       Suspect 3, Male Hispanic, Unknown age

UNIT:             LASD Special Victims Bureau

 

NARRATIVE:

Special Victims Bureau detectives are conducting a criminal investigation of a kidnapping and sexual assault on a minor by three unknown suspects.

On January 3, 2015, at approximately 6:30 PM, the 15-year-old victim reported walking along the 600 block of Van Wig Avenue, West Valinda, when a vehicle drove past her and parked a few feet in front of her.  Two of the suspects exited the vehicle, the third suspect remained inside, in the driver seat. 

As she walked past them, she was grabbed from behind and pulled into the vehicle by the two suspects.  The victim told detectives she was sexually assaulted, then released.  The suspects drove southbound on Van Wig Avenue and out of sight.  The vehicle was described as possibly a 1990’s Honda Civic, black in color, with a possible partial license plate of 2WE****.
