Fraudulent Registration Location: Bowers Avenue and El Camino Real
An officer noticed a vehicle at the intersection of Bowers Avenue and El Camino Real without a front license plate, a violation of the California Vehicle Code. While traveling southbound on Kiely Boulevard, the officer checked the vehicle registration. A Records check revealed the registration had expired, despite having a 2015 registration tab on the license plate. The officer initiated a traffic stop. The female driver admitted to having a false registration tab. She was issued a citation and released at the scene.

Warrant Arrest Location: 2000 Block of El Camino Real
An officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of El Camino Real to investigate a report of an in-progress check fraud. According to Target Loss Prevention personnel, a female subject attempted to purchase sixteen gift cards with a fraudulent check. A Records check revealed the subject had three warrants for her arrest and she was on probation. During a search of her person, the officer located eleven signed, fraudulent checks. She was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Commercial Burglary Location: 4100 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard a commercial burglary occurred on the 4100 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The suspect(s) broke into a locked storage container and took numerous items. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Driving Under the Influence Location: Calle de Sol and Calle de Luna
An officer responded to a non-injury solo vehicle accident at the corner of Calle de Sol and Calle De Luna. The male subject displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The officer led the driver through Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Driving Under the Influence Location: Benton Street and Live Oak Drive
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed traveling westbound Benton Street. The officer initiated a vehicle stop at Live Oak Drive. As the officer approached the vehicle, there was a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and the male driver’s eyes were red and watery. The driver failed to complete the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests satisfactorily. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Grand Theft Location: 3100 Block of Mission College Boulevard
An unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side rear door window of the victim’s vehicle parked on the 3100 block of Mission College Boulevard and stole electronics from inside. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Thursday, January 1, 2015
Driving Under the Influence Location: Lafayette Street and Benton Street. A officer stopped a vehicle near Lafayette Street and Benton Street for swerving in the roadway, crossing over the center line, and almost striking several parked vehicles. Upon contact with the male driver, the officer noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverages coming from his person as well as horizontal gaze nystagmus. The officer facilitated Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The suspect was arrested and transported to the County jail. The driver had one prior Driving Under the Influence conviction.

Robbery Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
A Macy’s Loss Prevention officer attempted to stop three males leaving the store with unpaid items. The Loss Prevention officer was assaulted by the suspects. Meanwhile, two Valley Fair security guards handcuffed one suspect. The security guards were also assaulted when another suspect approached them at knifepoint. As the suspects ran from the scene they threatened to shoot the security guards. A vehicle, driven by a female suspect, was waiting for the suspects before fleeing north on Winchester Boulevard. The suspects remain at large and an investigation is pending.

The Loss Prevention officer was treated and released at the scene. During the altercation, property from one of the suspects was recovered (valued at approximately $627).

Warrant Location: Scott Boulevard and Monroe Street
An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Scott Boulevard and Monroe Street for expired registration. A Records check revealed the male suspect was on three active grants of probation and had two arrest warrants for contempt of court. During a search of the suspect, the officer located a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Felony Warrant Arrest Location: 700 Block of Cornell Drive
On 12/13/14, a male suspect approached a victim at McKinley Drive and Gilbert Avenue at gunpoint and demanded his wallet. The suspect fled in a vehicle and subsequently used the victim’s credit card. Meanwhile, the victim ran home and called SCPD. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect. SCPD gathered evidence and issued a TRAK flyer to local law enforcement agencies in an effort to identify the suspect.

Another agency was able to positively identify the suspect. SCPD was able to obtain a Ramey Warrant based on sufficient evidence and probable cause. Detectives located the suspect and arrested him on the 700 block of Cornell Drive without further incident.

Saturday, January 3, 2015
Drunk in Public Location: 3900 Block of Rivermark Plaza
Officers responded to a report of two males physically fighting in the parking lot on the 3900 block of Rivermark Plaza. Officers determined the two friends were intoxicated and having a disagreement. One of the individuals was on probation. Both suspects were arrested for drunk in public and were transported to the County jail.
