Burglary - 12/31/14 - 4400 Block of N. Stowell Ave.

On Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at approximately 7:34 PM, a Shorewood patrol officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3500 block of N. Oakland Ave. for a stolen license plate and no tail lamps. The vehicle,a 2000 gold Pontiac Grand Prix, fled from the officer at a high rate of speed into Milwaukee. The suspect vehicle became damaged as it drove through a yard and became disabled. The 3 to 4 suspects abandoned the vehicle, in traffic, on the Locust St. bridge and fled on foot. A K9 Unit responded from MPD and attempted to track the suspects. The suspects were not located. No further suspect descrption is available.

Property located inside the suspect vehicle led officers to a house in the 4400 block of N. Stowell Ave. Upon checking the house, officers discovered the house had been burglarized. Entry was gained by prying open a back door.
