FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at approximately 2:30 PM, the Angels Camp Police Department was dispatched to the 1600 block of South Main Street for a report of a male subject, later identified as 19 year old Angels Camp resident, Riley Segale, swinging an axe at two people.

Segale was involved in an argument with one of the victims. Both victims got in to a vehicle and began to leave. As they were in the vehicle, Segale exited the residence with an axe held over the top of his head as if he was going to swing it at them. He then swung the axe at the rear of the vehicle as the victims left the residence.

Segale was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for charges related to assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.
