On 12-26-14, at approximately 12:15 AM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department made a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle for inoperative brake lights. The driver of the vehicle identified himself with a Mexico identification, and around this time the officer observed a firearm in plain sight inside the vehicle. The four occupants of the vehicle were detained and the vehicle was searched, and total of three (3) loaded firearms were located inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the occupants revealed that one of them was in possession of methamphetamine. During the booking process another occupant of the vehicle was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Manuel Salvador Naranjo, a 49-year-old Stockton, CA resident, was the driver of the vehicle and was subsequently arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle. Eberardo Juan Munos Romero, a 46-year-old Stockton resident was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle. Juan Sanchez Morales, a 41-year-old Stockton resident, was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle and for possession of methamphetamine. Jesus Emmanuel Arredondo Escalera, a 25-year-old Stockton resident, was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle and for possession of methamphetamine.

On 12-27-14, at approximately 3:50 PM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department made a traffic enforcement stop on a different vehicle, for various vehicle code infractions. The same four occupants from the previous stop on 12-26-14 were in this vehicle. The officer noticed a knife in plain view inside the vehicle, and based on his observation and on the previous firearms related officer safety concerns, the occupants were removed from the vehicle and the vehicle was searched. The vehicle search revealed methamphetamine inside the car, and Juan Sanchez Morales was cited and released for possession of methamphetamine.
