Assault and Battery 
Location: 2900 Block of Lakeside Drive 
An assault and battery occurred on the 2900 block of Lakeside Drive. An unknown suspect punched the victim several times in the back of the head causing a minor visible injury and the complaint of pain. At this time, the suspect has not been identified.

Monday, December 22, 2014 
Grand Theft 
Location: 1700 Block of Nantucket Circle 
An unknown suspect(s) climbed onto a third level apartment balcony on the 1700 block of Nantucket Circle and stole the victim's unlocked bicycle. The suspect(s) is at large.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014 
Petty Theft 
Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard 
A male subject selected a pair of pajamas from Macy’s on the 3000 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard and did not pay for the item. The subject then returned to the store and obtained a gift card refund for the item. This incident was observed by Macy's loss prevention agent who detained the subject at the scene and called SCPD. The arriving officer cited and released the subject at the scene.

Burglary 
Location: 3200 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard 
An officer was dispatched to investigate a theft from a vehicle on the 3200 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. Prior to leaving the vehicle, the victim concealed her purse on the floorboard behind the passenger seat and secured the vehicle. Upon returning, both of the passenger side windows had been shattered. Upon further inspection, she discovered that her purse had been stolen from within the vehicle. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Wednesday, December 24, 2014 
Stolen Vehicle Recovery 
Location: 3200 Block of McKinley Drive 
An officer responded to a possible burglary at the corner of McKinley Dr. and Cronin Dr. because a witness had seen a person climbing through a window. Officers also located a stolen vehicle near the home. The officers later determined a burglary did not occur, but rather the homeowner had locked themselves out and entered through a window. The stolen vehicle was recovered.

Thursday, December 25, 2014 
Burglary 
Location: 1200 Block of Scott Boulevard 
A burglary occurred at one of the dental offices along the west side of Scott Boulevard, between Benton St. and Harrison St. A metal rod that prevents the rear sliding door from opening had been removed by the suspects. Prescription pills and checks were stolen. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Friday, December 26, 2014 
Public Intoxication 
Location: Haig Street in the area of Laurie Ave. 
Officers responded to the area of Haig St. and Laurie Av. on a report of an intoxicated man. The person was seen shirtless and stumbling. The officers found the person sleeping on the porch in the 3600 block of Haig St. Officers determined the man was unable to take care for himself because of his alcohol consumption. He was arrested and taken to county jail.

Attempted Burglary 
Location: 2446 Cabrillo Ave. 
Officers responded to 2446 Cabrillo Ave. (Youth Activities Center) on a report of an alarm. Officers found a board removed from a window from a prior burglary. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect(s).

Case Number: 14-14194 
Burglary 
Location: 1925 Scott Blvd. 
Shortly after the attempted burglary of the Youth Activity Center, Santa Clara Fire Department personnel responded to a fire alarm at Scott Lane School and found a shattered window. Officers determined the suspect(s) threw a metal object through a window to gain access into the building. The suspects ransacked the building, but nothing was taken. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate a suspect(s).
