Intoxicated Male Arrested with Replica Gun

On December 28th, 2014 at 12:25 am the Morgan Hill Police Dispatch center received a call about a man with a gun on the 100 block of Cosmo Ave. Morgan Hill Officers responded to the location and immediately recognized 19 year old Suspect Timothy Camarillo in the street. Suspect Camarillo saw an officer exit his vehicle and he shoved his hand into his waist band. The Officer ordered Camarillo to remove his hand from his pants but Camarillo ignored the commands and walked away from the officer. Camarillo attempted to hide behind a building but was located and taken into custody. A search of where Camarillo was apprehended revealed a black air soft gun with the orange tip removed. Camarillo was extremely intoxicated and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail and booked for being drunk in public, obstruction of justice and brandishing a replica firearm in public.

Morgan Hill Police urge people not to remove or alter a toy gun by removing any portion so that it resembles a real firearm, by doing this law enforcement and community members will view the toy gun as real making it extremely dangerous both for the person and our community.
