LOCATION: 22800 block of Berendo Avenue, Unincorporated Torrance

VICTIM:  Asian Male, 27-years-old

NARRATIVE:

Sheriff's Homicide Detectives continue their investigation into the shooting death of a man, which occurred in the 22800 block of Berendo Avenue, unincorporated Torrance.

Detectives learned that deputies from Carson Sheriff’s Station responded to the location early Sunday morning regarding a call of a man lying in the street and bleeding. When they arrived, they discovered an Asian-male, 27-years-old, suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

The Deputies, along with the informant, attempted to render aid to the victim until paramedics arrived, at which time they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

According to witnesses, several gunshots were heard in the area but no suspect(s) or vehicle(s) were seen.  It was not until several minutes later the victim was found lying in the street.  It appears the victim may have been riding a bicycle in the street when he was shot.
