On December 9th 2014, at 6:27 pm, Morgan Hill Police Officers responded to a vehicle versus dirt bike collision with injuries in the area of Hill Road and Diana Avenue. As officers arrived on scene they located two injured juveniles lying in the lanes of traffic. Morgan Hill Fire and EMS arrived at the scene and provided medical aid to the injured juveniles. The driver of the dirt bike, a 16 year old male, was transported to San Jose Regional Medical Center by paramedics. The passenger on the dirt bike, a 15 year old female was transported to the same hospital. The driver of the vehicle, a 56 year old female Morgan Hill resident, was not injured in the collision.

Officers spoke with witnesses and were told the juveniles were riding an 80cc dirt bike south on Hill Rd at an unknown speed prior to the accident. As they neared the intersection with Diana Ave, the driver of the involved vehicle crossed Hill Road traveling westbound on Diana Ave. after yielding to the stop sign. The juvenile driver of the dirt bike was unable to stop and struck the vehicle on the passenger side. The dirt bike was not an authorized vehicle for use on a public roadway. The driver of the dirt bike, displayed signs and symptoms of intoxication during the investigation and will be charged with felony DUI. The driver of the vehicle was not intoxicated and was cooperative with the collision investigation.
