Petty Theft
Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
On 11/30/14 at approximately 1545 hours, officers responded to Macy's Men's Wear at 3051 Stevens Creek BL for a shoplifting report. The suspect concealed two pairs of pants inside of a bag, passed all open and attended registers, and exited the store without attempting to pay for the concealed items. The value of the stolen items was $240.00. All property was recovered. The suspect was cited and released at the scene.

NOTE: The Santa Clara Fire Department requested assistance from the Police Department’s hazardous materials unit at approximately 7:05pm as a result of a suspicious odor in Kaiser Hospital’s emergency department. The hospital moved patients into other areas and temporarily stopped accepting incoming patients while crews tried to determine the cause of the situation. The scene was cleared around 10:00pm after crews were unable to find anything suspicious.

Residential Burglary
Location: 2500 Block of Ramke Place
An officer responded to a residential burglary on the 2500 block of Ramke Place after the victim came home and found their home ransacked. Selective items were stolen. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Residential Burglary
Location: 900 Block of Wren Avenue
The victim returned home to the 900 block of Wren Avenue to find the front door ajar. The victim entered the home and determined the residence had been rummaged through and property was stolen. The suspect(s) exited the residence and fled the scene.

Grand Theft
Location: 3400 Block of El Camino Real
An unknown suspect broke the rear passenger's side window of the victim's vehicle on the 3400 block of El Camino Real. The suspect reached into the vehicle, unlatched the rear seat, reached into the truck of the vehicle, and took the victim's property estimated at $3,700. There is no suspect information at this time.

Location: 2000 Block of White Oak Lane
An officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of White Oak Lane on the report of a fight in a parking lot. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The victim had lacerations to his face which were treated by the Santa Clara Fire Department at the scene. The victim declined further medical attention. The officer provided the victim with a ride home.

Location: 4500 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
An unknown suspect(s) performed a window smash car clout and stole the victim's computer bag. The bag was later recovered minus its contents. The suspect(s) remain at large.

NOTE: Three additional car clouts occurred on Stevens Creek Boulevard this evening (Case Number 14-13314, 14-13315, 14-13316). In each case, electronics were stolen. Residents are urged to place all electronics and accessories out of sight and not leave any items of value visible to prevent thefts.

Location: 1700 Block of Warburton Avenue
A victim contacted the Santa Clara Police Department to report the theft of two bicycles from outside his apartment on the 1700 block of Warburton Avenue. The bicycles were locked together but not locked to a structure. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Location: 3600 Block of Magellan Avenue
A victim contacted the Santa Clara Police Department after receiving two phone calls from online credit companies to verify funds being requested. The victim had not applied for credit or a loan. It appears an unknown suspect(s) fraudulently used the victim’s name, social security number or other personal information to apply for credit, or a loan. Both companies denied the unknown suspect the funds.

Location: Central Park Library
The victim was charging his electric car at the Central Park Library when three unidentified male suspects walked up. As the victim opened his door to step into his car, the suspects shoved the door closed on the victim’s body, pinned him to his car and demanded money. The victim refused and wrestled suspect #1 to the ground. Suspect #2 hit the victim on the head with a beer bottle and struck the victim in the face. Meanwhile, suspect #3 stole the victim’s cell phone and wallet from inside his vehicle. All three suspects fled the scene.

Officers responded and set up a perimeter in an attempt to locate the suspects. When the victim returned home, he found one of the suspect’s cell phone wedged in his car. A Detective responded to his home to collect the evidence.

Warrant Arrest and Resisting Arrest
Location: Flora Vista and Granada
An officer observed a male subject riding a bicycle on the sidewalk which is in violation of the municipal code. When the officer attempted to perform an enforcement stop, the subject dumped his bicycle and started to hop over fences into people's yards. A perimeter was set up. The subject was located hiding in some bushes and was arrested without further incident.

A Records check revealed he had outstanding arrest warrants for forgery and theft. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.
