Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man that occurred at approximately 12:29, early Saturday morning.

Lomita Station deputies responded to a call of an “assault victim” in the 26000 block of South Western Avenue, Lomita.  Upon their arrival they discovered the victim, a 31-year-old male black, on the sidewalk being treated by paramedics for stab wounds.  Witnesses said they heard some type of disturbance and found the victim lying on the sidewalk bleeding from his wounds. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. There is no suspect information at this time and the murder weapon is still outstanding.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 26000 block of South Western Avenue, Lomita, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at approximately 12:29 a.m.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no suspect information.

The investigation is still ongoing.
